Fan Made RTX Remake of First Level in Max Payne
Slasks Psykbunker made the game shine again.
With RTX mods appearing left and right, partly thanks to NVIDIA's RTX Remix, it's not unusual to see an old game remade with better lighting. Back when the tech was released, we saw several first steps from different players trying RTX on Half-Life 2, SWAT 4, and Max Payne, but they were mostly short experiments that never turned into full games. This time, there is something more substantial.
Modder Slasks Psykbunker released the first level of Max Payne, Roscoe Street Station, with RTX on, and it looks really nice. It's dark, it's pretty, and there is this nostalgic feeling about it – what else do you need?

To get the mod running, you'll need an NVIDIA RTX GPU, the latest drivers, a copy of Max Payne, and RTX Remix. When all is said and done, you can finally enjoy the iconic shooter again, as if through new eyes. Find the installation instructions and the mod itself here.
