Warhorse Studios, the developer of the acclaimed medieval adventure Kingdom Come Deliverance, brought to our attention a peculiar fan project – a website titled Kingdom Compare, showing how KCD locations look in real life.

With the project, you can explore Bohemia and have a look at how historical in-game environments from 600 years ago look alongside their contemporary real-life counterparts in 360° panoramas. The developer explained that each comparison involves capturing a real 360° panorama on-site and then recreating the same angle in-game and aligning both images. The game features compressed geography, so some of the images might match imperfectly.

Currently, only an overview of Kuttenberg is available on the website. Other places, such as the Trotsky and Sasau regions, are to be added in the future.

Warhorse Studios is currently working on two new projects: a Middle-earth adventure and a new Kingdom Come experience, both of which will be open-world RPGs. The next Kingdom Come game might reportedly be released in FY 2027/28, although it's unclear whether it will be the aforementioned open-world RPG.
