Others are not as convinced.
Hope is a powerful thing, especially if it's linked to the most anticipated game nowadays. Some fans saw signs for the release date of the next GTA 6 trailer in Rockstar's recent announcement.
"Deliver piping hot pizza pies with the new Pegassi Pizza Boy scooter in GTA Online," it said followed by a video featuring the scooter, but it's the license plate that caught people's attention. The plate has OCT and PIZZ4 on it, which eager players took as an Easter egg meaning the new trailer (or perhaps the game itself) will be released on October 4.
If you think it's far-fetched, you're not alone. As less convinced fans noted, OCT has been on license plates since the GTA 5 release, and Rockstar is not exactly known for hiding hints in promo images.
Rockstar
Whatever the case, we'll just have to wait and see. Obbe Vermeij, a former Rockstar developer, recently said that it's in the company's best interest to stay quiet as everything they say gets overanalyzed. Leaks happen "because there's millions of people waiting for any news. And Rockstar doesn't give them any news."
He also assumed fans might be disappointed in GTA 6 because their expectations are too high. So stop making theories and enjoy the ride. Thankfully, the SAG-AFTRA strike shouldn't affect the development.
