A demo for Futurama Hit & Run, a total conversion mod with fully original 3D models, is now available.
Released in the early 2000s and inspired by Grand Theft Auto titles, The Simpsons: Hit & Run has developed a cult following over the years, with frequent fan-made mods continually revitalizing the game. There were plans for a sequel, but it ultimately never happened.
If you're getting tired of running around Springfield, Slurm Team just dropped a demo for Futurama Hit & Run. It's a total conversion mod for The Simpsons: Hit & Run that brings the same gameplay into the world of Futurama. All of the 3D models were reportedly created entirely from scratch.

The demo currently includes four story missions, one bonus mission, a fully custom soundtrack, ten side gags, and more. The developers also mention that while the demo features AI-generated voices, these will be replaced by real voice actors in the full release.
It doesn't even feel right to call this project a mod: Futurama Hit & Run is more like a new game built on the engine of the Simpsons title. You can find the Futurama Hit & Run here, but you'll need an official copy of the original game to play it.
The buzz around Slurm Team's mod was so strong, it even reached Joe McGinn, Senior Game Designer of the original Hit & Run, who said in a YouTube comment that he wants to give it a try:
