CitizenCon, an event dedicated to Star Citizen, has brought tons of positive emotions to those who attended it as well as a glimpse at what the future might hold for gamers one day.
You could see a fantastic cockpit setup that lets you experience controlling a spaceship (almost) for real, with maximum immersion achieved with the construction made by MONSTERTECH, panels by VIRPIL Controls, and Tobii Gaming's Eyetracker 5 (thanks, OneDarkEnigma).
Now that's what every gamer wants; I just hope no one got dizzy. It looks like CitizenCon went well, all thanks to Cloud Imperium Games' employees, who were first required to work 7 days a week in exchange for food and days off, although the company softened the rules to 6 days eventually. Workers are said to be worried about the management and the development, and I imagine working longer hours for the idea doesn't add much optimism.
Star Citizen has been in the alpha stage for 11 years, collecting over $700 million in funding from eager fans. Hopefully, the game will finally be launched soon.
