maaku's cloth simulation turned out great.
3D Artist known as maaku showcased their first Blender project using cloth simulation, creating a skirt with great volume.
"For some reason, I couldn't use the body as a collider and needed to make a simple proxy (like a simple cylinder). For it to keep together, I used the internal springs, and for fluff, I used pressure in Z+. Maybe a bit stupid, but it made it very fluffy! I still had to edit it after a lot, but the wrinkles look exactly how I want them now", commented maaku.
Cloth simulation in Blender is pretty challenging, so it would be interesting if they shared more about their workflow. Here's the final look:
