Free Unity Tool For Designing FPS Recoil Patterns
Flexible Recoil System lets you draw recoil patterns directly in the editor and use either pattern-based or random recoil at runtime.
Arda Kozan's Flexible Recoil System is a Unity toolkit for creating recoil presets and pattern paths directly in the editor, then integrating them into your FPS or TPS camera and input setup with minimal coupling.
You can see the core workflow and sample gameplay in action above. The recoil system itself is pipeline-agnostic and is compatible with BiRP, URP, and HDRP. The built-in editor window lets you create and manage recoil presets, draw recoil patterns on a grid, and adjust settings like RPM, recoil scale, random strength ranges, interpolation curves, and decay behavior.
Flexible Recoil System also includes a complete sample scene, modular sample gun controllers, and gameplay examples such as preset switching, gun switching, a training zone, and target dummies, along with full documentation. The best part is that it's free, so you can grab it here and start using it right away.
