Full Throttle Reimagined

LucasArts Classic Full Throttle reimagined in modern 3D.

An independent studio Red Knuckles has recently shared a reimagined version of the legendary game from LucasArts.

The original 1995 game tells a story of Ben, the leader of a biker gang who is framed for the murder of a motorcycle manufacturing mogul. Created by directors Rick Thiele and Mario Ucci, the video recreates the original’s opening sequence.

“When a character is successful, it is simple, clear, charismatic, and you get the essence of that individual straight away. The hardest part was to take the essence of the character so perfectly defined by its original appearance and update it without losing any of its soul – and more, adding to it. I think we’ve managed to accomplish this feat here,” Rick and Mario said.

Rick and Mario created the trailer, that mixes both the original spirit and their studio's style, for original players and die-hard fans of the game. They decided to go with a mix between the more stylised 2D world from the original game and the semi-realistic look.
