Ghostrunner 2, developed by the One More Level studio, has generated over $6 million, which is equal to PLN 24.4 million, in revenue within a week of its release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game, a sequel to the 2020 first-person action title, has not only recouped its production costs of $4.2 million, which is equal to PLN 16.7 million, but also achieved a profit of $1.93 million (PLN 7.7 million).
While specific sales figures were not provided, the revenue reported only includes the standard edition of the game priced at $39.99. It does not account for the extra editions priced at $49.99 and $69.99.

This positive news follows the announcement of layoffs by Digital Bros, the parent company of publisher 505 Games, which cited players being more selective with new game releases as the reason.
Although exact sales data is unavailable, Ghostrunner 2's SteamDB indicates a peak player count of 2,264. In comparison, the original Ghostrunner reached 11,294 players shortly after its initial release in 2020, three years ago. It's important to note that One More Level supported the first Ghostrunner with cosmetic add-ons and a story expansion, which helped maintain its player base leading up to the sequel's release. Ghostrunner II, on the other hand, has only been available for a month and hasn't received any add-ons so far.
