Helldivers 2 Outruns GTA 5 in Concurrent Players on Steam

Just several days ago, we reported that Helldivers 2 saw 203,644 concurrent players on Steam, leaving Enshrouded and Granblue Fantasy: Relink behind. Since then, the number has grown substantially: the shooter has reached the 409,367 players mark, beating GTA 5 in this regard, which managed to hold 364,548 fans at its peak.

Now, the game is placed 24 on the SteamDB chart of titles most played at the same time. There are other popular games ahead, including Among Us, Fallout 4, Terraria, Call of Duty, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Counter-Strike 2, Palworld, and PUBG.

Only time and Helldivers' developers will tell if the game outruns these famous hits too as Arrowhead Game Studios is running out of server space due to heightened interest in the title. The studio is working on increasing the capacity, so we might see even higher numbers in the future.

Meanwhile, neither Arrowhead nor Sony expected Helldivers 2 to be this successful.
