It’s always incredibly cool to see early versions of things when it comes to game development. Early blockouts, character prototypes, and other little details have always been our favorite things to study. Check out something awesome from one of the developers of Horizon Zero Dawn.
This is actually the original Thunderjaw, also known as “Duplo Raptor”. The artist shared an overview picture of a design document from 2011 and the first prototype in action. The team used Killzone assests to prototype, so don’t think the game was meant to be a shooter.
