The developers of Bodycam, a multiplayer FPS with a body-camera view created in Unreal Engine 5, featuring a Zombie mode, shared a major update including new maps, optimization updates, and an updated version of the game's scary mode.
The update includes three main groups of changes. The first focuses on performance and stability and includes numerous bug fixes, performance improvements, stability work, and key polish items based on player and tester feedback. The project has been fully updated to Unreal Engine 5.5, with enhanced core systems, optimized key maps, and several parts of the technical pipeline reworked.
Another milestone in the patch is a new Zombie map, the game's biggest map featuring the creatures, having new systems, like the crossbow, and new mechanics, combined with an intense and atmospheric experience.
Apart from this, the update includes one of the largest developers' multiplayer maps. It is based on a real airsoft location in France, CQB Powergun, Rue Robert Canivet, Cerny. The devs shared that bringing the environment to Bodycam was a challenging experience.
