iCrowds Generator Updated with a New Ragdoll System
Take a look at the new physics-based toolset in iCrowds 2.0.0.
iCrowds, the ultimate crowd simulation tool from Parametra, received an update, featuring a new Ragdoll system.
The newly introduced toolset allows for creating crowd simulations with physics-driven realism. Characters seamlessly transition from regular animations, such as walking or running, into dynamic ragdoll motion following collisions or falls. The system provides the artists with full control of when and where ragdoll behavior appears.
iCrowds creates fast and believable results directly within Blender, without requiring a complex physics setup or manual constraints, and supports all of the iCrowds characters, along with custom models. It can be used for creating VFX, action scenes, cinematics, and visualizing stadiums and city crowds.
The City system ensures realistic, needs-based behavior of characters, who autonomously react to hunger, sleep, fun, and more. The Fluid system allows for complete artistic control over crowd movement. With the mentioned toolset, perfect for visualizing emergency evacuation scenes, characters can be guided toward locations or repeaters to create avoidance zones.
The Walkers System lets you create believable pedestrian traffic, and the Stadium system suits creating populated venues with flexible distribution methods, while the Scatter toolset ensures flexibility.
