Jörg Grubmüller showcased a new outstanding character inspired by Guille Rancel's illustration.
3D Artist Jörg Grubmüller, who specializes primarily in creating stylized characters, has presented Fire Mage, an outstanding NPR 3D character animation inspired by one of Guille Rancel's character illustrations.
According to Jörg, the sequence was set up 100% in Blender, encompassing all the essential steps such as blocking, sculpting, retopology, texture painting, rigging, and animation. Additionally, the creator utilized the program's Geometry Nodes toolset to simulate the character's hair and clothes. Besides the animation itself, the artist also shared one of the most creative creation progress videos ever, showing how the character evolved from Blender's default cube to the final result:
