Interesting 3D-to-2D Experiment: Drawing Using Blender Planes

Coffeeviber found a way to make art.

You don't need to know how to draw to be an artist, and Reddit user Coffeeviber proves it with their latest Blender experiment. To make 2D-like art, they stacked a bunch of planes and got a cute face that reminds me of Fallout.

The expression can be changed by adjusting the planes and replacing eyes, mouth, or other body parts. Looks neat, although you might need to be able to draw at least a little bit (or find the right lines and images) to make it pretty.

We've seen a similar technique done with Live2D in an unusual illusion. You can also see how you can animate 2D-like models with Blender in スーさん's showcase. Additionally, you might enjoy Krysidian's painting-style girl inspired by Edward Ureña's Detached Facial Feature approach.
