Jez Corden Says Fallout: New Vegas Remaster is in Development

That's the second time FNV remaster has been mentioned this week.

While the possibility of a Fallout 3 remaster has been floating around since before the launch of Oblivion Remastered and covered extensively by YouTubers, streamers, and the media alike, the idea of Fallout: New Vegas getting the same treatment hasn't really been at the forefront of conversation and has remained nothing more than an unattainable dream for some of the game's fans.

That's likely about to change, with Jez Corden, Executive Editor at Windows Central and host of the Xbox Two Podcast, now openly stating that a Fallout: New Vegas remaster is actually in development.

Described as "the most casual leak ever," what one could consider a bombshell revelation took Corden just 15 symbols, as he simply replied "dw nv is coming too" in a random Twitter thread. Naturally, no definitive proof has been provided, but with Corden putting his reputation on the line with a statement of this magnitude, it's difficult to just dismiss it outright, making it all but certain that the "Fallout 3 remaster" gossip is about to turn into a "Fallout 3 + NV remaster" discussion in the near future.

It's also worth noting that this isn't the first time Fallout: New Vegas remaster has come up this week.

Just two days ago, this peculiar combination of words was also mentioned by one of Fallout's founding fathers Chris Avellone, who expressed skepticism about the idea of remastering FNV due to "recent events," presumably referring to the poor quality of Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition.

So there's that – not just one, but two people with confirmed high-level industry connections have spoken about a new version of New Vegas in the same week, with one of them explicitly stating that it is in development. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.
