Kaedim: A Cool AI for Turning 2D Images into 3D Models

The app is powered by machine learning and can even turn generative art into 3D models.

If you were looking for a quick and easy way to turn 2D content into 3D models, here's an amazing app that you should definitely check out. Meet Kaedim, a cool AI-based tool that can turn 2D images, sketches, and even art pieces generated by other AIs into 3D models with good topology.

Powered by machine-learning algorithms, the app enables artists and developers to prototype, create, and iterate their 3D art in a quick and cost-effective way. What's more, the app supports obj, fbx, glb, and gltf formats, allowing you to download your 3D model and use it in any 3D modeling software you desire.

"If you have multiple views of your object, you can select the Multiple option which will allow you to upload up to 6 images. You can also set an upper limit for the Polycount of the output. Finally, there is the option to label your request as High Detail for a more accurate generation." comments the team. "When all the settings look good to you, go ahead and press Generate. Processing takes an average of 15 minutes."

They have quality control engineers to help clean up whatever the AI produces. I guess the cost goes to them, and because of so many people trying this new tech out, they have to increase the price to lower demand. If they have too many requests they wont be able to deliver in a reasonable time.

Maybe they hire artists to brush up on what the AI is producing to help it learn and become better? Like recaptcha data, only for 3d and not 2d images. I guess the AI cant learn without us telling it whats the correct answer.

This is a complete scam- their so-called AI is nothing more than a bunch of cheap artists they expect to produce low quality assets from 2D images in 15 mins.

I totally agree.. Reality Capture made the same mistake and the company dwindled until Epic came and bought them out.
I hope they look at other projects like midjourney and how successful it has become by opening it up to users and rethink their pricing model.

Build it and they will come.

    It’s a complete scam, I tried it.
They have no AI, the first step is a mesh generation that look random then there’s an actual 3D artist that make an approximate model based on the picture.
I have all the proof necessary to say this.

$599 a month for 30 generations. It was 269 $ they double their prices as result more ppl using their system how does that work?
my views I will remember that they will be other AI 2d to 3d models, very soon same as midjourney and they be forced to make their prices better

I feel sorry for the creators of Kaedim as they made some critical tactical errors.

They priced themselves out of the market by offering a tool that only indie developers or very small teams will use but at studio pricing. $599 a month for 30 generations.

And now when other like services materialize, they will forever be remembered for their pricing model, furthering any mistrust or dislike the web might have already had for them when discussions are had about what services are best.
