Karim Abou Shousha's Water Blueprint for UE5 Gets Updated

More photorealistic underwater scenes and support for custom water surfaces.

Earlier this month, Senior Lighting Artist at Ubisoft Montreal Karim Abou Shousha shipped Underwater_Blueprint V3, a novel blueprint for Unreal Engine 5 for creating photorealistic digital water and stunning underwater environments.

Upon release, the blueprint featured several amazing underwater scenes, interactive sand, foam splash, bubbles, corals, animated sea animals, a school of fish, dirt particles, a new color system, a new water surface, a camera shake, and tons of other cool features, with the developer promising to add even more in the future.

Delivering on said promise, Karim has recently released a free upgrade for Underwater_Blueprint V3, making the tool even more robust and allowing you to push your underwater 3D scenes to a whole new level. According to a short announcement shared by Karim, the enhanced blueprint now supports custom-made water surfaces, features more underwater scenes, and is more compatible with games. If you already have the blueprint in your possession, you can get the update for free via email.
