Learn to Create Stylized Low-Poly 3D Scenes in Unity with This Environment

The example scene from Purple Sky features tree and flower assets, rainbow VFX, a day and night cycle, and more.

If you want to delve into environment art and learn how you can create appealing detailed scenes in Unity, check out this stylized low-poly environment from Purple Sky.

A Low Poly Environment, or ALPE, is an example 3D scene that features vegetation assets, visual effects, lighting, and shaders. The assets include trees, flowers, and more, while the visual effects feature rainbows, sun rays, waterfalls, birds, and falling leaves.

The scene includes a full day and night cycle with a system that dynamically adjusts global lighting based on sun position, including Fog Color, Fog Density, Sun Color, Sun Intensity, Ambient Lighting Color, Environment Indirect Lighting Intensity, Environment Reflection Intensity, and Custom Skybox Shader with Day and Night sky.

The environment feels alive and immersive, which is achieved through the use of advanced shaders. Vegetation Shader features translucency, wind movement, stylized Fresnel, color gradients, and distance fade; Wings Shader is used for birds' VFX; and 3D Cloud Shader helps visualize a vibrant sky. The project also has a smooth camera controller for scene navigation and a directional light rotator script.
