It can't be deleted.

Microsoft's Copilot AI chatbot has already sparked controversy as one of the most intrusive additions to Windows 11, and it appears the company's AI ambitions extend well beyond its desktop operating system.
A Reddit user known as defjam16 recently reported that an update to their LG TV's webOS automatically installed Microsoft Copilot, offering no way to remove it. While the app can be ignored, the trend to force AI features into everyday devices is getting harder to escape. So, what purpose does a Copilot AI app serve on your TV?
"I always hated bloatware, but installing an AI assistant (without explicit permission) that cannot be deleted, with unknown access to the microphone and other services might just take the cake", commented defjam16.

The user also pointed out another feature called Live Plus, which tracks on-screen content and uses that data to provide personalized services. It's enabled by default, and you can find it under Additional Settings.
Given that webOS is a Linux-based operating system, it's possible that Microsoft is preparing its Copilot AI for a broader rollout to Linux users. Meanwhile, the growing presence of AI and advertising in smart TVs highlights a key challenge for users: convenience frequently comes at the cost of control, requiring constant awareness.
