Maneater Character From An Indie Fantasy-Themed Roguelite Deck-Building Game

Cinder Pit Studios, an indie development team that has remained quite mysterious, failed to stay low-key as their newly shared character showcase from their WIP project, a fantasy-themed roguelite deck-building game called Neidfyre, has made the community overly excited. The short video depicting an animation of Maneater in a dark, grim, snowy atmosphere has garnered lots of likes: 

Neidfyre will be one with "attractive visuals, deep characters, and gameplay inspired by 2D fighting game styles" and focusing on 1v1 duels. When replying to a fan's inquiry about the title's meaning, the developer gave its source: it comes from European folklore, Need-fire, and serves as an important concept addressed in the narrative and gameplay.

Believe it or not, this is only one of the many character showcases that draw huge attention. Since September of 2023, a series of stylized characters have been shared, including the Witch, who is the protagonist that is with a magic fire, a kid, the Knight Banneret, a merchant and her stall, the Archbishop, Bombardier, Enforcer, and Executioner. 

Neidfyre is in active development and doesn't have a Steam page yet, but the developers have this in mind and will set it up as soon as possible once they work out some nice screenshots and a trailer.
