The key new feature in Cinema 4D 2026.2 is Fabric Brush, an artist-friendly modeling tool for shaping soft materials directly in the viewport. It combines the responsiveness of standard modeling tools with simulation-driven realism for folds, draping, and deformations without the need for complex rigs.
This release also introduces Bend Deformer improvements with new symmetry origin options that allow mirrored bends from a single deformer. A new filter in the Material Manager lets you view only the materials applied to selected objects, and Target Effector receives a Loop option.
Cinema 4D is now available for Windows on ARM devices. Also announced was Cinema 4D's expansion beyond desktop. Similar to ZBrush for iPad, it's planned for release on iPad, expected in late 2026.
The app will have a brand-new interface and workflows built specifically for touch and mobile use, and you can switch seamlessly between iPad and desktop thanks to full compatibility, so your projects travel with you.
You won't need an Apple Pencil Pro or keyboard to use it, since everything works via touch, though it's recommended for a smoother experience. Cinema 4D on iPad will also include Redshift support, and sculpts made in ZBrush for iPad can be opened directly in Cinema 4D on iPad.
Attendees of NAB 2026 can see the Cinema 4D for iPad beta at Maxon's booth N2741. Get more details on Cinema 4D for iPad and sign up for the beta here.
