Unreal artists have been waiting for this one.
The Quixel team came up with exciting news. Megascans Trees are now available in early access. It is a brand new asset type and the team's first pack is available on the Unreal Engine Marketplace for free.
The set features 22 unique models of various maturity to build a photorealistic black alder forest. The pack also comes with a powerful foliage master material to control seasons and wind.
"A dynamic shader is included to provide procedural controls over seasons, health, wind, and many other functionalities compatible across the entire Megascans vegetation library," wrote the team. "The trees are optimized with unique LODs, shader quality tiers, and various wind implementations (simple + pivot painter) for maximum performance."
