Mewgenics from The Binding Of Isaac Creator Is Coming in 2024

Breed your cats and set them out on epic adventures.

Mewgenics, a turn-based roguelike about cats from Edmund McMillen, the creator of The Binding Of Isaac and Super Meat Boy, got a release window. The game where you breed cats and send them out to defeat enemies should be out in 2024.

In Mewgenics, described as a turn-based legacy roguelike draft sim by its makers McMillen and Tyler Glaiel, you'll hoard, breed, train, mutate, and set cats out on epic adventures over hundreds of hours of gameplay. The developers promise several classes, more than 50 abilities, a lot of unique items, and over 200 enemies and bosses.

The game was first announced in 2012, with plans to launch it in 2014, but then it was put on hold and resurfaced in 2018 when McMillen shared he was remaking it with Glaiel, who he had worked with on The End Is Nigh.
