Modeler Creates a Blender-Style Modeling Plugin for Roblox Studio
No more changing programs to build your assets.
The Builder and Modeler Dinonotdilo shared on Twitter/X Bloxender, a Blender-style modeling plugin for Roblox Studio. Dino created it to make 3D modeling easier and more accessible directly inside Roblox Studio.
Dino has been updating the plugin since they announced it; so far, it has UV support, texture painting, and vertex color/alpha. One of the latest updates is that now the plugin has an agent.
The agent can read the current state of your model and plan changes that you will have to approve. So far, Bloxender is available in two versions: a free Lite one and a full one still in beta.
"It exists because the round trip is the expensive part. Fixing one wrong vertex today means opening Blender, importing, editing, exporting, re-uploading, and re-linking — for a change that takes four seconds once you are in front of it. Bloxender keeps those four seconds inside Studio."
Essentially, Bloxender works like Blender, but in Roblox Studio, allowing you to do the 3D work you would usually do in a separate program; it adds professional-grade modeling tools to Roblox Studio, which can be very helpful to artists who build assets for Roblox.
