Moonlighter Developer Digital Sun Is Hiring an Environment Artist

The studio is looking for a professional to join its team in Valencia, Spain.

Digital Sun is hiring an Environment Artist to join its in-house team in Valencia, Spain. The studio is known for LEGO-inspired RTS Cataclismo, the Moonlighter series, the action RPG The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story, and an upcoming tower-defense strategy ReVamp.

The developer is looking for a candidate with at least two years of experience as an Environment Artist, proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, and experience with texturing tools such as Substance 3D Painter, Substance 3D Designer, or Photoshop. The artist should also know how to build environments in Unity or Unreal Engine, create modular kits, translate concept art into 3D while preserving its style, and work in a Spanish- and English-speaking environment.

Desired skills include stylized and hand-painted texturing, knowledge of sculpting tools like ZBrush, familiarity with shader creation, experience with lighting and post-processing, VFX for environmental effects, terrain and foliage tools, and a portfolio that shows stylized and realistic work.

The studio offers flexible hours with one remote day per week, a 35-hour work week, a competitive salary, a private health insurance subsidy, mental health support, and free English and Spanish classes.

Digital Sun's latest project is ReVamp, a tower defensevania where players take on the role of Dracula, protecting their throne from mortal invaders. The game is set to release on March 25, 2027. The studio recently delayed its public playtest on Steam in favor of more contained testing on Discord because of widespread reverse-engineering, cloning, and publishing of game builds before the official release.
