During the Summer Game Fest 2023 event, NetherRealm Studios shared a brand-new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, an upcoming fighting game and a reboot of the entire Mortal Kombat series, set in an alternative universe.
Providing a look at the soon-to-be-released title's fighting arenas and characters, the new trailer showcased MK1's gameplay mechanics and shared some information regarding its plot, with many of its characters assuming new roles, e.g. Sub-Zero and Scorpion becoming brothers. Additionally, the new trailer demonstrated some of MK1's gruesome fatalities and brutalities, promising a slew of new graphic finishing moves.
Mortal Kombat 1 is coming on September 19, 2023, for PC, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. You can learn more about the game here.
