My Friend Pedro, a recent bestselling bullet-time action-platformer, has sold 250,000 units in its first week across both PC and Switch! The thing is that is almost entirely the work of just one developer called Victor Ågren (aka DeadToast Entertainment), so you have to admit that’s it’s an impressive result for one man.

To celebrate, Devolver shared a charming video about Victor and his four-and-a-half year journey behind My Friend Pedro. It began as a Flash game made for a student project, put on the backburner after Victor got a job at MediaMolecule, but, in the end, it finally made its way to your screens this year.

It is also said that Pedro, the player’s mentor, was almost a flying gnome, but then the dev decided that bananas are easier to animate. Make sure to watch the full video.
