The first season of HBO's The Last Of Us show has just ended, and Naughty Dog can go back to its game projects, which it had already done, according to Neil Druckmann. In an interview with Kinda Funny, he revealed that the studio is already working on its next game.
With the series' success, old and new fans are eager for The Last Of Us Part III, but all Druckmann can say for now is that the team chose the project they were most passionate about.
"I know the fans really want The Last Of Us Part III, I hear about it all the time," he said. "All I can say is that we're already into our next project, the decision has already been made. I can't say what it is, but that is the process we went through."
It's a vague answer that doesn't really confirm if this next big project, which should be out after the Last Of Us multiplayer game, is actually the new installment in the series or not. It would be great to follow the show's hype, but the studio has said that it could "move on" from The Last of Us just like it did with Uncharted.
