Don't get your hopes up.

Last week, Crystal Dynamics shared a new art of Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, and it made many fans believe we'd see this version in the next game.
However, as some have predicted, this is not the case, according to the Spanish outlet Vandal. What developers call a unified vision of the protagonist apparently "does not correspond to the design that Lara Croft will have in the video game."
While the new image has been received well, some players say Lara looks pretty "generic", so it's not clear if fans should be relieved or disappointed. Apart from this, the developers said they are not ready to share any details about the next Tomb Raider installment.
All we know about the new game is that it's developed by Crystal Dynamics using Unreal Engine 5 and will be published by Amazon Games. We should expect a faithful continuation of the series but the release date is still a mystery.
While you're waiting for more news about the title, check out the recently launched remasters of the first three games, they will surely make you feel nostalgic (and maybe a little frustrated.)
