No, NVIDIA Is Not Canceling RTX 5070 Ti & RTX 5060 Ti GPUs

"Certain media may have received incomplete information from an ASUS PR representative regarding these products."

Hardware Unboxed, a YouTube channel that yesterday reported about NVIDIA's 16 GB GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti GPUs allegedly being discontinued, has issued an update stating that the information they received from an ASUS spokesman was incorrect and that the cards in question are not actually being canceled.

For context, earlier this week, the Hardware Unboxed team was told by an ASUS PR representative that the RTX 5070 Ti had been designated "end of life," citing this as the reason why they couldn't provide the team with RTX 5070 Ti samples.

After the YouTube channel shared this revelation with the community in a video, ASUS was quick on its feet to retract the statement of its spokesman, saying the company has no plans to stop selling these models, the cards in question are not being discontinued, and any availability issues are simply due to fluctuations caused by "memory supply constraints."

"The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB have not been discontinued or designated as end-of-life (EOL), reads the company's updated statement. "Current fluctuations in supply for both products are primarily due to memory supply constraints, which have temporarily affected production output and restocking cycles. As a result, availability may appear limited in certain markets, but this should not be interpreted as a production halt or product retirement.

ASUS will continue to support the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and is working closely with partners to stabilize supply as conditions improve."

Speaking of GPUs and RAM, previously it was reported that NVIDIA is planning to bring back the GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, discontinued in August 2024, sometime in Q1 2026, presumably as a result of the rapidly rising cost of GDDR7 DRAM used in the latest RTX 5000 series. At the moment, the report remains unconfirmed.
