Node Wrangler for Substance Designer

Check out a new tool for Substance Designer by Arvin Villapando that features three different tools to easily arrange and sort your node networks.

These plugin for Substance Designer allows you to easily arrange and sort your node network. The kit consists of 3 different tools.

Nudge Node – This is the simplest of the three tools. Simply select the nodes to nudge, click on the button or hit shift + WASD to nudge the node one unit (BRU) vertically or horizontally
Arrange by Position – This tool works very well if you somewhat have your node network arranged the way you want it and you just want to make sure that the spacing and alignment is correct. Simply select the nodes to arrange, and click the button or hit shift + V.
Arrange by Connection – This tool is most useful when you node network is completely tangled. It will sort the selected nodes by tracing the connections from the last connection all the way to the first. Great to untangle networks, but can be slightly unpredictable if you have too many cycling connections. Best used in multiple small selections. Simply select nodes to arrange, and click the button or hit shift + C
