If you want to upgrade your PC, you should hurry up: rumor has it NVIDIA is planning to reduce its RTX 50 Series production almost in half.
According to Board Channels (via Videocardz), the supply will be 30% to 40% lower in the first half of 2026 than in the same period this year due to memory shortages, related not only to VRAM but also to GDDR6, GDDR7, and other memory components.
"According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA is also taking into account the long-cycle impact of storage products, and may adjust its GPU supply strategy for AIC brands in the Mainland China market. The goal would be to better adapt to changes in the DIY market environment and maintain a balance between supply and demand for graphics card sales."
Benchlife reports that the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and the 5060 Ti 16GB will be affected first.
This information is unconfirmed, but it wouldn't be surprising, as the hardware market is facing issues and price spikes, especially in the RAM and SSD areas, which concerns game developers like Larian, who will have to work on optimization for its Divinity earlier than expected.
Moreover, it was reported a couple of weeks ago that Micron decided to stop selling its RAM to simple PC users in favor of AI companies.
