Obsidian, Bethesda & Other Studios Congratulate Larian on Baldur's Gate 3 Launch

Yes, bear jokes are here, too.

For the past several months, the internet was full of Baldur's Gate 3 hype – everyone expected a lot from Larian Studios, and some developers were worried it would become a standard hard to reach.

Yesterday it happened – what we have been waiting for since the Early Access period started in 2020 (or even before that). The game is finally fully out on PC, attracting over 472 thousand concurrent players, and fans are not the only ones happy about it. Even Larian's (kind of) competitor studios joined the celebration and congratulated the developers on the launch – each in their own awesome way.

"Friend or foe, the decision is ultimately yours," tweeted Obsidian adding a cool picture with a mind flayer.

Bethesda was also happy for the creators: "We thought we felt something gnawing at the back of our minds..."

The developers of Kingdom Come: Deliverance Warhorse Studios had something nice to say as well:

But my favorite is a Twitter post from Remnant 2 developer, Gunfire Games. When I saw it yesterday, I couldn't help but laugh and repost it. Did you think you'd be able to avoid bear jokes on such a day? Well, think again.

Was the studio trying to say it got owned by BG3? I'm not saying anything, but it is saying something. The studio's new game sold a million copies in a week, but Larian's RPG has already thrown them off the pedestal.
