Photorealistic Portrait of Breaking Bad's Mike Ehrmantraut

3D Modeler and Character Artist at Digital Domain Simon Almeida, known for creating outstanding character models, has unveiled a brand new 3D portrait that can easily be mistaken for a real-life photo. This time, the artist has managed to recreate Mike Ehrmantraut from the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul TV series, portrayed by legendary actor Jonathan Banks.

According to the author, the decision to recreate Mike in 3D was driven by the fact that the actor's head has "very interesting shapes and volumes". Using Maya and ZBrush, the artist nailed the actor's likeness and thoroughly recreated his wrinkles, facial hair, and the iconic thousand-yard stare.
