Hideki Kamiya encourages fans to reach out to the studio for information, while the studio remains silent on the matter.
Last week, PlatinumGames announced on their social media that game designer Hideki Kamiya would depart from the company on October 12. Having co-founded the company 15 years ago and helmed renowned titles like Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101, this news came as a shock to many.
However, the question that arose among fans was related to the status of Project GG. Initially revealed in February 2020, Project GG underwent significant changes from its original concept. The game's early description positioned it as the "climax" of Kamiya's superhero trilogy, following Viewtiful Joe and The Wonderful 101. However, it has since evolved into the studio's most ambitious undertaking to date.

During the summer of 2022, Kamiya stated that PlatinumGames would not reveal the action game Project GG until mid-2023. However, as of now, there have been no updates or news regarding its progress.
So, the players who have been waiting since addressed the question to Kamiya because he was the one responsible for the project. Well, in response, Kamiya refrained from providing details and stated that all inquiries should be addressed directly to PlatinumGames.

The studio, in turn, commented to VGC that they are unable to disclose any further details regarding the departure of the game designer.
As of now, the current stage of development for Project GG and the person leading the project remain unknown. Hopefully, we'll get more details soon.
