Procedural Hand-Drawn Mapmaking Tool Now Lets You Create Rooms

Canvas of Kings is getting more advanced.

Canvas of Kings, a procedural mapmaking tool created by Hannes Breuer for Might of Merchants, is getting even better: the latest update has introduced a Room tool, which allows you to simply draw an outline and enjoy the resulting automatically furnished building.

You can then switch between variants and change the shape of the room if you wish. Objects can be attached and detached, moved, and rotated, and wall and floor designs can be changed. The update also added new points and handles to modify room shapes to give more creative freedom to the player.

The rooms include bathrooms, kitchens, chapels, blacksmith's workshops, and more. New interior assets offer beds, fireplaces, chests, and more. You can also keep the rotation to make the next object and room face the same direction.

Might of Merchants and Breuer's other possible projects will definitely benefit from this Godot-powered tool. The medieval trading simulator allows you to create and expand your business, establish your own dynasty, and take a stand in politics. The game doesn't have a release date yet, but you can follow the creator's progress on X/Twitter.
