Procedural Infection Tool For Houdini & Unreal Engine 5

The tool allows one to populate 3D scenes with creepy fleshy veins.

Dynamics Technical Artist Grayson Cotrell, who earlier shared a comprehensive breakdown explaining how to set up an easy and intuitive scaffolding generator, continues the series of procedural projects with one more outstanding setup.

Check out Procedural Infection, Grayson's latest tool that allows one to quickly and easily populate 3D scenes with creepy fleshy veins. With this tool, it is possible to cover objects with veins in just a few clicks, resulting in an eerie horror-inspired appearance, and tweak the veins to get the result you want. Similar to the previously mentioned scaffolding generator, this new infection tool was developed using a combination of Houdini and Unreal Engine 5.

Furthermore, the artist has shared a series of concise videos providing a technical breakdown of the tool, exploring various use cases for it, showing how the tool can be used in Unreal Engine 5, and more. You can check out the full breakdown by visiting Grayson Cotrell's official website.
