Realistic Venusaur Done With ZBrush & Substance 3D Painter

Character & Creature Artist Amed Alexander Bueno experimented with realistic elements in Pokémon designs.

Inspired by other fan interpretations of realistic Pokémon designs, Amed Alexander Bueno took on the challenge of giving Venusaur, the Grass/Poison-type Pokémon, and the final form of Bulbasaur, a more lifelike appearance.

The artist revealed that this Venusaur was sculpted in four separate parts – body, trunk, leaves, and flower – in ZBrush. Then, it was textured using Mari and partially in Substance 3D Painter, with the final render completed in Blender.
