Realistic Cobblestone Pattern Made Using Houdini

Julian Bragagna shared a new project.

Julian Bragagna, Technical Artist at Cloud Imperium Games, showcased his new project, a Houdini-made visualization of the cobbled sidewalk inspired by the German Bernburger Mosaik pattern.

Such a pattern type implies that in places where the pre-made sidewalk tiles don't fit or have to be removed, the space is filled with the small cobblestones. The artist perfectly recreated it, making the cobblestone road look authentic, with seemingly arbitrary distribution of the stones.

The artist integrated the mosaic solver into his tool, Berlin Sidewalk Generator. Check out more features coming:
