Reallusion Changes Licensing Models For Several Products

Character Creator, iClone, and Cartoon Animator are now available with subscription plans alongside the existing perpetual licenses.

Starting this month, Reallusion is introducing new subscription-based licensing options for select products, including iClone, Character Creator, and Cartoon Animator. Available with monthly or annual renewal plans, these subscriptions will be offered alongside the existing perpetual licenses, making them an option for short-term projects and creators new to Reallusion's tools.

"All subscription plans provide the same rights and privileges as perpetual licenses under the Reallusion Software EULA, ensuring a fair and consistent experience for all customers. Reallusion continues to support perpetual licensing for creators and studios that value the reliability and long-term stability of permanent software ownership," says the announcement.

For comparison, an iClone 8 perpetual license costs $599, while the subscription is priced at $59 per month. Character Creator 5 is available for $299 with a perpetual license, or $29 per month via subscription.

Additionally, AccuPOSE INFINITY is moving from a subscription model to a perpetual license. The recent Expansion 6 update also introduces a new Cartoon category focused on exaggerated, expressive animation:
