Back in November 2021, Reallusion had unveiled its upcoming Character Creator 4, a new and improved version of the company's character creation tool for artists to create and customize stylized or realistic-looking character assets. The first preview focused on character rigging, with the promise from Reallusion that any artist will be able to import, characterize, and optimize any rigged character in CC4.
Following that, the company has released a new Character Creator 4 WiP video, in which the Reallusion team showcased the upcoming Scalable Expression Editing and Smart Skin Shader features. According to the video's description, the team wanted to emphasize the freedom of SEE with the help of 60 to 140 adjustable blendshapes in CC4. The tool's upcoming Smart Skin Shader will give users the ability to automatically identify skin regions for color adjustments and create any ethnicity with ease.
