Redfall Final Patch Released

Redfall is gone, and so is Arkane Austin.

The final update for Redfall, a game developed by Arkane Austin, one of the studios to be shutdown by Microsoft, is now live. The patch, known as Game Update 4, introduces several significant changes, including the much-requested Offline Mode, the ability to pause during single-player play, as well as a revamp of the Neighborhood and Nest systems.

As we are saying goodbye to this game, it’s time to look back to its journey, which may have been marked by criticism. Even a year after its release, it currently has "mostly negative" reviews with a poorly 35% being positive on Steam.

Despite a harsh journey, the developer wrote a heartfelt message in the update note, which is published on Bethesda's page:

“We’re thankful for the millions of players who have joined us. From everyone at Arkane Austin, thank you for playing our games and loving our worlds, it’s been an honor to deliver these experiences to you.”

Around two weeks earlier, Hi-Fi RUSH, a much-loved rhythm action game with overwhelmingly positive reviews, received its final update before the studio, Tango, closed.
