Resident Evil 3 Remake Ships Over 5 Million Copies

The game reached the milestone in 22 months.

Capcom announced that the 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3 shipped over 5 million copies worldwide. It took 22 months to reach this milestone, even though 2 million copies were sold in the first 5 days of release.

The company promises to stay "committed to satisfying the expectations of all stakeholders by leveraging its industry-leading game development capabilities."

Resident Evil 3 is a remake of the 1999 survival horror Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The game is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
