Reuters: Embracer Is Considering Selling Gearbox

A new report states that several companies are interested in acquiring the company. 

According to Reuters, holding company Embracer is exploring different options for what to do with Gearbox Entertainment including selling the company to another publisher.

The report notes that Embracer started exploring the options after several third-party companies showed interest in acquiring Gearbox. Little is known on the list of the companies interested in the acquisition. 

In the summer of 2023, Embracer initiated a restructuring process after a failed two-billion-dollar deal. One of the results was the decision to shut down Volition.
