Roleverse Lets You Generate Game Worlds Using AI
The studio has been founded by industry veterans from Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Remedy, Housemarque, and Phoenix Games.
Have a look at Roleverse – an upcoming platform that allows users to create their own games using the power of AI.
In a recent demo, the developers show how you can type what you want to see, and the AI will generate the world you have in mind. Alternatively, you can just choose one of the options provided by the tool and see what happens.
The tool is based on OpenAI’s GPT-4 model and is connected to Google’s Bard.
"Roleverse is bringing the power of creation to all users. With our love for imagination and iteration, we’re combining human ingenuity and creative passion with emerging technologies to allow our users to express their ideas in games. We are creating a platform for players to let their vision flow."
The studio, also called Roleverse, has been founded by industry veterans from Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Remedy, Housemarque, and Phoenix Games "with the mission of creating one of the first UGC (User-Generated Content) games with Generative AI technology, giving the power of creation to all users and pioneering emergent gameplay."
"We want to provide immediate playability to our users so they focus on enjoying the game rather than spending their time tinkering in an editor. With Roleverse, creating is taking a few seconds, and then, you can modify live the world around you," said Jani Penttinen, CTO of Roleverse.
In an interview with GamesBeat, Penttinen said that in their vision each game is like an island that anyone can visit in the future. For now, you're free to build what you want and even modify it.
You will get a chance to test Roleverse in October if you register on the website now. Also, don't forget to join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
