- 1st Place: $10,000.

Create generated worlds using World Gen V2’s visual node editor. Build a biome, region, or zone with a clear theme, strong landmarks, and great exploration from the ground up.
NPCs: $27,000 in Prizes
Bring life to Hytale. Create or update NPCs – critters, enemies, or boss fights – with behaviors players will remember. Push the asset configuration system to its limits.
Experiences: $27,000 in Prizes
Create a new way to play Hytale – adventure maps, minigames, hard modes, or deep systems (skill trees, progression, crafting reworks). PvP and multiplayer welcome.
After finalists are chosen, players will vote for five Community Favorites, with $2,000 awarded to each winner. There will also be three surprise Mid-Contest Drops, each rewarding 10 creators with $300 for qualifying entries.
"Games thrive long-term because of their communities, and Hytale's creators have already shown us that since launching into Early Access. Hypixel Studios is putting $100,000 behind this contest as a first step toward something much bigger to recognize and reward the people shaping Hytale's future. I can't wait to see what comes out of it and to meet some of the creators along the way!" commented Simon Collins-Laflamme, CEO of Hypixel Studios.
"The Hytale modding community has already proven what it's capable of with over 5,000 mods created and 20 million mods downloaded. This contest is our way of doubling down on those creators, giving them a $100,000 reason to push World Gen, NPCs, and Experiences further than we ever imagined,” said Uri Marchand, CEO and Co-Founder, Overwolf.
Hytale didn't have it easy, so the contest is probably what it needs to recuperate. Hypixel was acquired by Riot Games in 2020, but the game was shut down in 2025. However, the studio's founder Simon Collins-Laflamme reacquired the company and revived the title later that year, and it was released in early access this January, but not on Steam, as "everything is wrong with the game" for now.
