Who was it, though?
DaFuq!?Boom!
Garry's Mod developer, Garry Newman, has reportedly been sent a copyright violation notice concerning the (in)famous Skibidi Toilet phenomenon. Newman shared a screenshot of the email he received accusing him of unauthorized use of assets, including Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, Titan TV Man, and Skibidi Toilet.
Invisible Narratives, an entertainment studio that is working on the Skibidi Toilet movie, is listed as the rights holder, although it was DaFuq!?Boom! who created the original short videos.
"You know what’s worse than the Nintendo DMCA?" Newman asked on Discord (via Dexerto). "Skibidi Toilet guys sent a DMCA too. Serious. Can you believe the cheek?"

Soon after, a Discord user appearing to be DaFuq!?Boom! himself entered in the chat and claimed he hadn't sent any letters.
"Is there a way to contact Garry? I did NOT strike Garry’s Mode and I’m trying to understand what else is written in the letter!"
This whole situation makes one question the legitimacy of the notice, but GosuGamers found the entry on the United States Copyright Office website under the Titan Cameraman and 3 Other Unpublished Works name.
What makes this crazier is that Garry's Mod itself was made with assets from Valve's Half-Life, so if someone hits it with a DMCA strike, it shouldn't be any Skibidi Toilet makers.
