It's a hard business for solo game developers, so seeing them succeed is always a great sight. Cakez released his tower defense game Tangy TD on March 9 and has already cried during streams twice.
Cakez is a streamer and YouTuber, and his viewers had the privilege to see his happy reaction to the game getting $30,000 in just a day after the launch and then a week later, when it crossed the $250,000 mark.
It's heartwarming to witness indie games getting the recognition they deserve, and with new outlets covering the story, Tangy TD will definitely get another boost in numbers.
The game enchants players with its adorable visuals and magical setting. The mechanics themselves might not be novel, but it's an amazing comeback to the era of tower defense games.
"Strategic tower defense where you play a witch, place class-based towers, equip them with items that grant powerful abilities, combine them, create unique builds & deal ridiculous amounts of damage! Customize your builds with a deep stat system and giant skill tree!"
