Sony Is Shutting Down Its Remake-Focused Studio Bluepoint Games

Sony is shutting down Bluepoint Games, a studio that worked on remakes of Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls, among other projects. 

According to Bloomberg, the decision, made "following a recent business review," will affect around 70 employees, a PlayStation spokesperson said. Bluepoint will be closed in March. 

Bluepoint Games was founded in 2006 and acquired in 2021 by Sony, which is now ending the developer after 20 years of work.

Aside from Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls, it created Gravity Rush Remastered, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, God of War Collection, and Blast Factor.
